Reflection

Welcome back Cambridge people! Now that I've finished my project, I'd like to look back at what I learned from it. I sort of learned to use CapCut, though I still have no idea how to put music in. I learned how to add transitions to my videos on CapCut, along with how to move where the transitions are. I also learned how to upload pictures to computers, which was something I previously struggled with. To do this, you need to send the pictures to yourself via email, and then download them onto the computer. Thankfully, my friend showed me how, because I would neve have guessed how to do this. Previously, I would just use my phone to do things with the pictures, but I obviously can't edit the video on my phone. Finally, I learned how to add text and move where the text is in the video, along with changing the style of the text. This includes the font and the color of the text.       I also learned how long it takes to put together a project. I only used previously taken

Production Blog: The Final Cut

Welcome, Cambridge people, to the final production blog, because I finally finished! Fortunately, I did not have too much to do, just add the finishing touches. I decided for sure that I was not adding in the video of me pretending to be a weatherman, because when I once again tried to download it and completely failed. Either way, I wasn't really as interested in putting it into the video as I was when I first had the idea, so I'm not too upset about this. What I am upset about is that I had to change my background music choice! I could not find any way to put in the song I wanted, Sound and Vision by David Bowie. I even looked up a tutorial and it didn't help in the slightest. Instead, I decided to look up some of the default background music that is available on CapCut, and found a lo-fi song called "Lo-fi Piano Chill Out" which suited the video well. The edits happened to be almost perfectly on the beats of the song, which was a nice coincidence. The son

Welcome back Cambridge peoples! Today, I almost finished my project! I found out that I completely misunderstood how long the video was supposed to be. I thought that it needed to be a least 2 minutes, but in reality it should only be 30 seconds to a minute, which is fortunate, because I was struggling with making it long enough. Because of this, I am now unsure whether or not I will be putting the video I wanted to put in, just because of how long it is and how much trouble it has given me. Today, I decided to remove two of the pictures- the one of me on the beach and the on of me carving pumpkins. This is because both of them were not very good pictures of me, and they didn't really show my personality. I also decided to add two pictures of my cats, because they are such a big part of my life. Finally, I added a picture of my bass, because I play it almost every day and absolutely love it.       Then, I tried to add in the background music. However, I quickly ran into a pr

Production Blog: Trials and More Trials

Welcome back Cambridge person! Today I continued trying to make my commercial. I started out by trying to get the video of me pretending to be a weatherman. This proved to be much harder than I anticipated. The only place that the video exists, at least that we could find, is on Facebook, and their was no way for me to download a video from Facebook and put it on my computer. My mom tried sharing the link to the Facebook video with me, but since I don't have a Facebook account, this was no help. To try and find the video somewhere else, we tried using old phones that my mom had, hoping that the video would be in the gallery. The first phone I found clearly had a battery leak, and was covered in battery acid, so we didn't even try to look at that one. The next two we found were very old and, of course, out of battery. We tried plugging them in, but the chargers we tried weren't working. Most likely, they were the wrong kinds of chargers. I also would not be surprised i

Production Blog: Starting the video

Welcome back Cambridge people! Today I started making my commercial, first by adding a video to my collection of pictures. This is a video of directly after a hurricane, where I was pretending to be a weatherman. It is a bit long, so I might need to cut out some of my pictures, but I feel as though this video shows my personality the best of any that has been taken, which is what this video should be about. Of all of the pictures hat I chose, the one I would get rid of would probably be the most recent one of me on the beach. This is because I really don't like the beach, so it doesn't really show who I am. The other pictures were all of me being silly and having a good, time, but this one was just of me walking on the beach and clearly not having that good of a time. I also do not like the pumpkin picture of me as much, mostly because I don't like how I looked back then.     The next step in making the project was getting an editing software and teaching myself to ed

Hello Cambridge peoples! Today I started making my commercial today, starting with what song I want to choose. First I was considering Time to Pretend by MGMT, because it is a very calming song to me, and I love to put it on in the background when I'm relaxing. However, this song is very explicit and not right for school, so I unfortunately can't put it in the commercial. My next choice was Sound and Vision by David Bowie, because the main guitar riff over and over gives me a very similar feeling. While I liked this song, I wasn't fully sold on it, so I decided to keep looking. Another song I like for this was Thank You (Falletin me Be Mice Elf Agin) by Sly and The Family Stone, but I decided that funk was not the best choice for background music. Where is My Mind by the Pixies was another choice that I liked, but the guitar riff doesn't quite give the same feeling as Time to Pretend or Sound and Vision, so I ruled this out to. Finally, I decided to settle with So

Hello Mr. Cambridge Person! My name is Isaac and I am from Hollywood Florida. I was born on June 12, 2008, only 2 days after my mom. I LOVE cats, especially black cats and tuxedo cats. I have two cats, named Leo and Dobby, after the ninja turtle and after the house elf from Harry Potter. They're both 8, but they are still very active and very silly. My favorite online cat is Maxwell, who is a small black and white tuxedo cat with fluffy fur, and he sits like a loaf of bread. I also really like red pandas, because they are very smart and they act a lot like humans.     My favorite sport is soccer, or football as most people (correctly) call it. My favorite club is Chelsea, even though it upsets me to see how much they spend to get a mid-table finish. I also like Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle because of how exciting they are to watch. I also like Newcastle because Aleksander Isak has the same name as me, or close enough. I am also huge a fan of professional wrestling,
