Production Blog: Almost done!

Welcome back Cambridge peoples! Today, I almost finished my project! I found out that I completely misunderstood how long the video was supposed to be. I thought that it needed to be a least 2 minutes, but in reality it should only be 30 seconds to a minute, which is fortunate, because I was struggling with making it long enough. Because of this, I am now unsure whether or not I will be putting the video I wanted to put in, just because of how long it is and how much trouble it has given me. Today, I decided to remove two of the pictures- the one of me on the beach and the on of me carving pumpkins. This is because both of them were not very good pictures of me, and they didn't really show my personality. I also decided to add two pictures of my cats, because they are such a big part of my life. Finally, I added a picture of my bass, because I play it almost every day and absolutely love it.

Then, I tried to add in the background music. However, I quickly ran into a problem, which is that CapCut's available background music did not include Sound and Vision, which is the song that I wanted to add in. To counteract this, I tried to download the song off of Spotify, which did not work at all, because I have no idea how to download songs on Spotify. Next I tried downloading off of YouTube, but in order to download I had to have YouTube premium, which costs money. While a free trial was available, I am afraid that when it ends, I will automatically be charged to continue using it. So, I decided to try to figure that out later, and possibly change my music choice. Next, I started adding text to my video, in order to explain what the pictures were and what they mean to me. First, I added welcome text to the black screen in the beginning. Then, I put text explaining what the two little kid pictures were, and then why the bass was on there. I also put on text over the Renaissance Festival picture, and text saying that the cats shown were my cats. Finally, I added another black screen to the end with text saying thank you for watching. Now I only have to add transition, possibly the video, and background music!
