Production Blog: Preparing for Review

Hello Cambridge! We will be showing someone our finished movie soon, and I am very nervous. Since the whole movie is not completed, I think they could be very confused by this snippet of the full movie. While I personally am not confused, I think this could be because I know the full story, and an outside observer might be disoriented. I think this is why it's good to get a peer review, so that someone who hasn't been working on your project can tell you what a general audience will think.

I also am concerned as to if we will have to make changes. We have struggled to be able to make a date and time to record normally, and a shorter notice will make this even worse. At least if we have to just edit, we won't have to dress Amelie up again in her crazy person clothes. But still, we would all need to be their to make decisions, so it is important that we don't have any scheduling conflicts. I am fine to do almost whenever, but Lilly and Amelie can't do Sundays ever, and will sometimes have other things on Saturdays.

I'm not really sure what more we could add to the movie to make it better. I am very happy with the title cards we made. I feel like they are creative and match the feeling of the film. I also like the way we do the slow descent into madness throughout the film. The titles get crazier and crazier as we progress until we get the words help me written on the paper. I think this is the main goal we were trying to get with this movie, the character descending into madness and the movie going crazy with her. I also like how the editing gets a bit more frantic as the film goes on, further conveying the increased craziness. The only thing I can think that we should have is showing me and Lilly talkin so that their are not disembodied voices. However, I really don't think this is that important to warrant us changing the movie for it. Hopefully, we'll be able to find out exactly what we need to add soon.
