The use of the element of anxiety to make readers uncomfortable.
Each psychological thriller I've seen has been very moving.
Costumes seeming to be perfectly fit to the film

What elements of the genre do not appeal to you?

It is hard to rewatch. Most psychological thrillers are "not what they may seem" or have a plot major plot twist. So it can be hard to rewatch them with the full effect.
